Malassezia — the yeast involved in what is commonly called fungal acne (malassezia folliculitis) — feeds on many fatty acids and their esters. This formula contains at least one. That only matters if you are managing that specific condition; for everyone else these are ordinary, well-tolerated emulsifiers and emollients.
